आउटलिव काय
आहे?

भारतामध्ये 15 ते 29 वयोगटातील तरुणांचा मृत्यू प्रामुख्याने सुसाईडमुळे होतो असे आढळते. सुसाईड हा वेगवेगळ्या घटकांचा परिणाम आहे ज्यामुळे तरुणांच्या आरोग्यावर परिणाम होतो. तरुणांच्या सुसाईड मागे कोणतेही एक कारण नसले तरी ते रोखण्याचे अनेक मार्ग आहेत.

आउटलिव हा सुसाईड प्रतिबंध कार्यक्रम एकूण चार वर्षांचा (२०२०-२०२४) आहे आणि हा कार्यक्रम सेंटर फोर मेंटल हेल्थ लॉ अँड पॉलिसी, इंडिअन लॉ सोसायटी (ILS), संगत आणि क्विकसॅंड डिझाईन स्टूडीओ ह्यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आणि कॉमिक रिलीफ (यु के) ह्यांच्या मदतीने तयार झाला आहे.

आउटलिव हा कार्यक्रम दिल्ली, मुंबई आणि पुणे ह्या शहरांमधल्या 18 ते 24 वयोगटातील तरुणांनमधील सुसाईड बाबत समस्या संबोधित करतो, विशेषतः जे सुसाईड, आत्महानी, भावनिक ताण किंवा मानसिक आरोग्य समस्यांना सामोरे गेले आहेत त्यांना, आणि जे वंचित समाजाचे भाग आहेत अश्या तरुणांना समाविष्ट करतो.

आउटलिवची सुसाईड प्रतिबंधात्मक युथ ॲडवोकसी फेलोशिप तरुणांना धोरणकर्त्यांसोबत काम करण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करते. ह्यामुळे समुदायांमध्ये सुसाईड प्रतिबंधात्मक योग्य तो बदल घडून येण्यास मदत होईल.

आउटलिव मधून तरुणांची कहाणी समाजापर्यंत पोहोचवले जातात, मल्टीमीडिया रिसोर्सेस (multimedia resources) उपलब्ध करून दिले जातात आणि युवा वर्गासाठी सुसाईड प्रतिबंधात्मक सामाजिक कार्यक्रम, वर्कशॉप्स, सोशल मीडिया (social media) उपक्रम योजले जातात ज्याद्वारे समाजात सुसाईड बद्दल गैरसमज दूर केले जातील.
